Sustainably hand-harvested Mimulus ringens seeds. Nectar source for bees and butterflies. Larval host for Baltimore and common buckeye butterflies. Ideal rain garden plant tolerant of wet soil. Full sun to part shade. Blooms June-September. Perennial.
Monkeyflower seeds require 2 months of cold, moist stratification before germination. This can be done naturally by leaving the seeds outside all winter, or artificially by refrigerating them in a moist paper towel until they sprout. Transfer the seeds to soil as soon as they sprout. Tiny seeds should not be buried/sown - simply scatter them on top of the soil.
Each packet contains approximately 2,000 seeds.
